Leadership and Management Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions of leadership and management apply where you choose to apply to the National Skills Academy for Social Care (‘the Skills Academy’) to take part in any of the leadership and management training programmes.

The term ‘you’ refers to an organisation or an individual practitioner or organisation and the term ‘us’ refers to ‘the Skills Academy’.

The Skills Academy will attempt to notify individuals and organisation of any revisions of these leadership and management terms and conditions by email.

However, the Skills Academy reserves the right to change or update the terms and conditions without prior notice.

1. Leadership and Management Application

By submitting an application to the National Skills Academy for Social Care, for leadership and management training projects, programmes, workshops and any other form of learning arrangement programmes, organisations or individuals are thereby stating their willingness to be bound by the terms and conditions of the corresponding programme, project, course, or workshop.

2. Payment

Each of the programmes, projects, workshops and other services on offer through Leadership and Management have different schedule of payments that will need to be adhered to.

You will receive an email to confirm receipt of payment. Please see the payment terms and conditions specific to the desired leadership and management service.

The latest fees for the leadership and management programmes are available on the leadership and management pages of the website.

Payment should be made by cheque. 

If any payment remains outstanding we will notify you by telephone, email or letter.

3. Personal details

All information provided by you to us must be true and accurate at the point of applying. In the event of a change of circumstances such as moving jobs, change of contact details or any other change that will affect your profile, you must update your profile through your account on the NSASC website, submit in writing or by telephone.

4. Data protection

Any personal information you provide to us will be kept securely and in accordance with the Data Protection Act (1998) and any other applicable data protection legislation.

5. Breach of Leadership and Management

The National Skills Academy for Social Care reserves the right to rescind contract between the individual or organisation purchasing leadership and management services, under certain conditions.

For example, by poor conduct, either professionally or personally you bring the reputation of the Skills Academy into disrepute, we reserve the right to temporarily suspend or rescind the contract.

6. Disclaimers and exclusion of liability

Although care is taken to ensure that the information on the Skills Academy website is accurate and up to date, we cannot accept any responsibility for mistakes or omissions.

In particular, any articles in our archives which may be out of date.

Although we will do our best to ensure the quality of the information we publish directly, we enter into no express or implied conditions, warranties, terms or representations regarding the quality, accuracy or completeness of the information.

Trainers who are employees of an employer and complete the Front-line Leaders programme are licensed to deliver the Front-line Leaders training programme, in conjunction with the corresponding employer that put them on the programme.

The same employee is not permitted to deliver it as an individual on behalf of another organisation, or as an individual.

The Skills Academy will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered due to the delivery of training by an unlicensed trainer.

Individuals who complete the Front-line Leaders programme are licensed to deliver the Front-line Leaders training programme as an individual trainer.

The Skills Academy website may contain links to other websites not operated or controlled by us.

If you use these links, you will leave our website.

These links are provided for convenience only and do not constitute any endorsement by us of organisations or individuals promoted on the linked websites, their products or services, unless explicitly stated by the Skills Academy.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

The intellectual property rights (including, without limitation, copyright and trade marks) in all materials on the Skills Academy (including, without limitation, text, images and plans) are owned by the Skills Academy unless otherwise stated.

These terms and conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with English law and all disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
