The Registered Managers’ Programme is intended to further equip Registered Managers to meet the challenges you face on a daily basis.
To help reduce issues of professional isolation by offering network opportunities at both local and national levels and to support you to fully recognise your pivotal leadership role.
For you, for your service users and for the social care sector as a whole.
Let the new Support Programme for Registered Managers help you make even more of a difference.
The National Skills Academy for Social Care is working with a wide range of leading social care organisations and with the Department of Health, to put a programme in place to support Registered Managers and enable them to achieve the recognition they deserve.
By working with Registered Managers to build a nationwide programme which is designed to offer practical support, advice, access to best practice information, and to facilitate local, regional and national networking. It will also offer resources to enhance your professional practice.
We know that you work hard, and have to constantly juggle conflicting priorities. We know that most Registered Managers want to make a contribution to social care and love their jobs but they need, and want, more support and recognition.
Because better supported Registered Managers will be in a position to deliver high quality care, which will benefit people using services, their carers, their families, and their service provider.
Why did Paul Newman, the CEO of Greensleeves, sign up all his managers to the Registered Managers Network? See below....
“Greensleeves is keen to support the National Skills Academy’s excellent initiative to drive up standards across the care sector. Supporting our Registered Managers will drive up quality standards, resulting in ever increasing levels of care, which will benefit people using our services, their carers, their families and, ultimately, their service provider.“
Because being recognised as part of a professional group helps raise the profile of Registered Managers and the care that they deliver every day, and because we need to acknowledge and celebrate the excellent care that is regularly delivered across the sector.
