Skills Academy leadership programme for Directors and Chief Executives of large social care organisations

This cross-sector programme addresses specific challenges of senior leadership roles in social care, including policy and practice issues, alongside implications for collective leadership.

This programme forms part of the suite of Skills Academy offers, as part of its role to transform leadership, management and commissioning across social care.

The programme is designed to help people at Director and Chief Executive level, in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.

It will help you:

  • understand the leadership challenges of your role
  • develop your individual leadership style and effectiveness
  • learn from other individuals in leadership roles
  • build your own peer networks
  • understand the future direction of social care.

Who should participate?

  • Chief Executives, Directors or Senior Directors of social care provider or support organisations
  • Directors and Assistant Directors of Adult Social Services
  • Chief Executives or Senior Directors of charities, community groups or support groups involved with social care

Date and fees

The dates for the next programme are:

  • 10th and 11th April 2013
  • 8th and 9th May 2013
  • 2nd and 3rd July 2013
  • 10th and 11th September 2013

The fees for the programme are

Members of the Skills Academy: £950

Non-members: £1, 350
