Our main objective is to support people from all walks of life to remain independent, enabling them to stay in the comfort and safety of their own homes, surrounded by the things they know and love.
The Company was formed in 2003 and gained instant recognition allowing us to grow year on year.
Our reputation for offering a personalised service, as well as supporting our Service Users with the same respect that we would want for our own families, has increased the number of private clients and in 2007 we were awarded a substantial block contact by the local authority (Cheshire County Council).
We have continued this working relationship and with the split within the local authority between east and west we are proud to say that, along with our own private contracts, we are a proud supplier of domiciliary care for Cheshire West and Chester Council.
Managing Director, Debbie Leigh, has been instrumental in developing the Company.
She is immensely proud of Cheshire Homecare Services Ltd. and continues to work tirelessly to further develop the Company for the future.
“My main aim in taking this company forward is to continue to assist people to remain independent and give them choice. We want people to remain in control of decisions in relation to their care packages and we want to help them improve their confidence in any way we can. We want to find new ways of supporting service users. We want to develop our presence in the local community and be seen as a company that cares. We are listening more and more and by listening we are learning more and more, not just about our service users but about their families, their care workers, our staff and about the community too”
- Debbie Leigh. Managing Director Cheshire Homecare Services Ltd.
Our Care Assistants and our Service Users are fully supported by a dedicated team of Care Coordinators, a Care Manager, Registered Managers, A Human Resources team, a Training Manager, an Accounts team and the Managing Director.
Their roles ensure that care staff are able to focus on the delivery of quality, effective and efficient care. Our efforts have not gone unnoticed.
Not only are we members of the UKHCA, we are proud to be a founder member of the National Skills Academy and in 2009 we were awarded a 3 star excellence status following a thorough inspection by the Care Quality Commission and we are confident we have retained this high standard of excellence as we have developed in the few years since.
Staff undergo rigorous training before they are able to provide care and once the initial training is complete, they are continuously monitored, assessed and supported while on the job.
The Company aims to register all staff providing care onto an NVQ level 2/QCF (or equivalent) to ensure the continued quality of our services.
Support Workers work out in the community and monitor and support both Care Assistants and service users alike, ensuring care needs are addressed, provisions updated and any other issues are dealt with promptly.
This is a vital tool in making sure our service users’ voices are heard, allowing them to communicate freely without the fear of retribution should they have any complaints and allowing us to fully understand their specific wants and needs in order to provide the best possible service without compromising their dignity and/or independence.
