The Excellence Award

Overview

The Skills Academy has worked with employers, training providers and service users to examine excellence in training. Based on our findings, we have developed a ground-breaking set of criteria which are the basis for our endorsement scheme.

There are two strands to the endorsement scheme:

  1. Training and education organisations
  2. Learning Programmes

Chart showing the two strands to the Endorsement Framework.

Which strand relates to me?

  1. Training and education organisations
This strand is designed for organisations which offer significant adult social care training provision. You may be a dedicated education or training organisation, or you may be part of such an organisation (for example a department or faculty). Or you may be an employer with a significant training function either for your own staff or for other people’s staff.

  2. Learning Programmes
This strand is designed for organisations which offer a selection of courses in adult social care, but don’t want to have their whole organisation endorsed.
