Why is the Skills Academy focusing on Endorsement?
Employers have expressed a need to be able to identify education and training providers who provide high-quality training, where and when it is needed. The Skills Academy’s endorsement framework allows training providers across the adult social care sector to show how they deliver to meet those needs. Through high-quality training, we will develop and maintain high-quality care.
What has the endorsement programme delivered so far?
We have now appointed 7 Regional Review Co-ordinators (RRC) who will act as co-ordinators of the endorsement review process out there on the ground. Their role is to publicise the endorsement framework, to offer advice to organisations working on their applications for endorsement, and to co-ordinate the review process. As soon as you fill in your expression of interest form we will put you in touch with an RRC who will be your first point of contact from then on.
What is the Endorsement team doing right now?
We have finished piloting the other route to endorsement – the Excellence Award for learning programmes. We are writing the supporting materials and once they are ready, we will launch this route. Watch this space in a couple of months’ time.
Applications for Recognition are coming in thick and fast. Have a look at what it requires (PDF file link) and see if you are eligible to fast track through this first stage to endorsement. If you are not able to fast track, you can fill in the application form (Word file link) telling us about your organisation and how it works, and gain Recognition that way.
What is the next step for the endorsement scheme?
