Skills Academy seeks Aspiring Leaders for inaugural programme

The Skills Academy is inviting applications for a new Aspiring Leaders programme, the first of its kind in the sector and a critical part of the Academy’s work in cultivating the sector leaders of the future. The Aspiring Leaders programme will aim to help those who would like to reach senior management and director level to do so by equipping them with the best possible training and provision.

This programme is aimed at those people with some experience managing and leading teams, already working at a relatively senior level, but exhibiting the potential to go further. It will become part of the recognised route to excellent high-level leadership in the sector for managers from all backgrounds, across the whole sector. Delivered in conjunction with the prestigious Ashridge Business School, the Aspiring Leaders programme will have a far-reaching impact for individual participants, their employers, service users and the sector as a whole.

The Academy is running three intakes of the programme between now and Spring 2011, and is currently recruiting for all intakes. Participants in the first three cohorts will receive a Skills Academy subsidy to 50% of the course costs.

To learn more about the programme visit the Aspiring Leaders page of the website to download a brochure and application form.
