South Birmingham College achieves Recognition Award status
South Birmingham College has today become the first Skills Academy endorsed provider. The College provides education and training in health and social care to around 600 learners each year, and has successfully fast-tracked through the Recognition process, which is available to those organisations who can demonstrate their commitment to quality through existing quality marks that complement the Skills Academy Recognition and Excellence Awards.
The Recognition and Excellence awards form part of a pioneering Endorsement Framework for training organisations, enabling those who are successful in gaining the awards to be clearly identified by employers looking for quality learning and training specifically in social care.
Skills Academy Chief Executive, Liz McSheehy said: “We are delighted that South Birmingham College has successfully gained Recognition through our Endorsement Framework. This is a ground-breaking first-step in giving employers in social care the surety they need in buying quality training”
