The Lambeth Academy of Social Work is a joint initiative between Lambeth Adults’ and Community Services, Lambeth College and the University of Bedfordshire. This innovative centre will promote high quality professional development of our local social care workforce – from apprentices to social workers to leaders and managers in social work - and will evolve to reflect and embrace the Social Work Reform Board recommendations.

Lambeth’s cooperative council ethos and co-production is at the heart of this initiative. You will have experience of alternative models of service delivery and have excellent organisational, business and entrepreneurial skills. Your ability to lead and motivate as well as maximising stakeholder involvement will be critical in developing the centre to its full potential.

You will be a highly experienced and dynamic social worker with extensive working knowledge of the current social care workforce agenda and policy developments. It is essential you can demonstrate achievements in leading practice education and in developing productive relationships with students, social work professionals, educational organisations and users by experience.
